Han Ten Jacket with Keiko Yazaki (2 of 5)

July 26 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

International tutor Keiko is coming from Japan specifically to teach this workshop.  The Han Ten Jacket is made in the traditional Japanese method, very different from our western method of clothing construction.

Keiko visited us during 2019, and taught a group of us very successfully.

Her fulltime job in Japan is a Kimono maker, and as such is a talented artisan.  This jacket is hand stitched, a relaxing and peaceful week.

This is a 5 day workshop with a master seamstress:-

Saturday 25th July
Sunday 26th July

No class Monday 27th July

Tuesday 28th July
Wednesday 29th July
Thursday 30th July

The class will run 9.30am to 4pm daily.

Han Ten is a useful addition to a wardrobe.  It can be “dress up” formal, or worn casually.  They can be made with many fabric types, but are especially suited to linen and cotton.  Some unique Japanese fabric will be available for purchase to make this jacket.

Class fee is $780.  This must be paid in full in advance of the class.  This is a small class, plenty of attention assured.
