Boro – Make a Japanese Knot Bag

Boro means, literally, “tatters”. These were made by re-purposing carefully saved garment pieces and other hand-spun and indigo-dyed fabrics. Jean will teach Boro stitching along with sharing her comprehensive information of the history and uses of Boro in traditional Japanese usage. Kits with fabulous fabrics provided.
Full kits included in the fee of $80 per class. 9.30am to 3pm each session.
Morning and Afternoon Tea Provide
- ½ metre of fabric each for the bag (main) and the lining
- Ruler, scissors, pins, needles and threads to match your fabrics
- Marking pen or ¼” tape
- Sewing machine
