by Sharon Burgess of Lilabelle Lane Creations. Quilt size 66″ x 60″
Full EPP Kit, which has the Printed Pattern with the EPP Templates x 10 pcs and the EPP Papers required to make the quilt as pictured.
Finished size approx. – 66” x 60”
Southern Aurora is one of Sharon’s original designs that has been refreshed and rewritten (July 2020). The pattern is full of easy to understand diagrams and tips for the beginner and experienced piecer.
This quilt allows the maker to play with fabric placement and fussy cutting all within 4” hexagons. Each Hexagon can be fussy cut as simple or as intricate as you like.
The pattern contains 17 different hexagon designs, each listed with the shapes required to create the block.
The hexagons are framed by Sharon’s first custom shape, the “Lilabelle Polygon” which was created just for this quilt design. (Please note that the Lilabelle Polygon is also known as the “Liberty Polygon”).
If you would like some ‘Southern Aurora’ inspiration, Sharon is remaking this quilt over on Instagram ( @lilabellelane ) and sharing her progress as she goes. She is using Tula Pink fabrics and would love it if you came and stitched with her.
